Best Show/Worst Show Thurs July 20!

Posted by Adam Gnade at 11:52 AM

It’s another episode of Mercury Music Editor Adam Gnade’s podcast, Best Show/Worst Show! This week Adam plays MP3s from Alan Singley + Pants Machine (pictured below), Harry and the Potters, and Bark, Hide and Horn, all of which have shows in town THIS WEEK. YES! Think of it as a tiny, awesome fragment of our Up and Coming section—only without all the blah blah and blah music writer talk.

Also, stay tuned because Adam will be hosting another show this Friday, July 21 where he talks about the up coming Halleluwah festival, going down Sept 1-2. He’ll be playing tracks from bands on the bill, talking about the fest itself, and giving you all the info you need to make Halleluwah the best two days of YOUR LIFE. Rad!

She talks to him about the direction of their brand new album Against the Ashes, touring, why they love Portland, and why they’re an urban legend. Plus you can hear some of the tracks off the new album!

Be sure to check out Agalloch’s CD release show Saturday, July 29 at Sabala’s (4811 SE Hawthorne) with Waldteufel, Wolves in the Throne Room, and Giant Squid. Do you hear that? It’s the sound of swooning. This is going to be one of the best metal shows of the year!
