It’s Saturday morning! You know what that means, don’t you? It’s time for a new episode of the Savage Love Podcast. Listen in as Dan dishes out love-n-sex advice to anyone willing to step up to the plate. Speaking of which, do you have a question for Dan? Phone it in at 206-201-2720.

Welcome to 3-Minute Limit, the Portland Mercury’s punk podcast where long songs are cast down into the pit of flames. In a happy coincidence with Valentine’s Day, this week you’re going to meet some exciting singles from DC Snipers, The Tampoffs, and MORE!

Well last night was what might be called a good old barn stormin’ night out. The Roots, who love this town by the way, played for two and a half hours, switching from hiphop to rock to swing and finding time to play a 20 minute homage to James Brown. And as if that wasn’t enough we all swung by Masu Sushi afterwards and The Roots leader, Questlove, banged out a 3 hour DJ set. Maybe he’s turning into Prince. Thanks to Marciano from Mass Gatherings for getting me everywhere I needed to be last night. Click to play live the performance video!

I grabbed The Roots’ Questlove, or is that ?uestlove, and in the few minutes we had to talk he told me how P-Town is his fourth favorite city in the world, why his band are covering Bob Dylan’s ‘Masters of War’ and how he’s not exactly down with the current resident at the White House.
