All this talk about "The ten greatest albums of all time" or "Matt's top ten favorite albums of all time", and not a single mention of Stan Ridgway.
Stan played a jaw-droppingly kick-ass show at Mississippi Studios last year, the 25th anniversary of Wall of Voodoo's "Call of the West". To quote one reviewer, Stan is "the most criminally underrated songwriter in America".
You need to get out of the house and away from your Elvis Costello love doll, Matt. Listen to some Stan Ridgway. I'd recommend "Mosquitos" or "Black Diamond".
